[Resolved] OIT has been monitoring service stability overnight and is confident that services will remain stable. Our internet service provider will begin working on maintenance soon to implement long-term fixes to avoid network outages like this in the future. We do not expect the maintenance to impact service on campus. [Monitoring] UC Merced’s internet service provider, CENIC, has identified and mitigated the power issues that caused this morning’s internet outage. OIT is confident that our services should now be stable, but we will continue to monitor services to ensure that functionality continues. CENIC has made us aware that they will be doing maintenance over the next few days to ensure the long-term viability of the fixes they implemented today. At this time, this work is not expected to impact our services on campus, but we will communicate here if we learn otherwise.
